The transept (which together with the other measures 40 m in length) has a barrel ceiling and the following biblical inscription reads in Latin along the trabeation: “Anyone who has invoked the name of the Lord will be saved-in the name of Jesus every knee shall bow”.
Along the walls are the Biancini’s majolica depictions: the Marriage of Mary and Joseph (behind the altar), the Visitation (left), the Wedding at Cana (above the entrance door), the Risen Lord (at left side of the altar) and St. John of the Cross (to the right of the altar).
The three round glasses and the four rectangles of abstract style are designed by A. Leoni and made by F. Quentin of Sesto Fiorentino.
